Meg Wilcox is one of our main session speakers, and she will be telling us about the Art Of Storytelling with podcasts. Check out the video below for our brief interview AND a way to win a ticket to PodSummit!
Long form podcasts are challenging to put together and produce, which is what makes them so compelling! Meg will share her knowledge and insights with us on May 6th. By then, we’ll be able to find out all about her new podcasting venture as well.
Meg’s bio:
Meg Wilcox has traveled the country making radio stories as a host, reporter and producer. You may have heard her on CBC or CKUA, and she was part of the team that developed Banff Centre Radio. Currently, Meg hosts a podcast series with Pacific Content and is also hosting/producing a series with the Canadian Mountain Network and the University of Alberta. A member of Mount Royal University’s journalism faculty, this is her first semester developing and teaching a course on podcasting.
Art Of Storytelling
If you are a fan of shows like Serial, Hardcore History, Planet Money or any of the other top rated podcasts – you are familiar with the grip of a great long-form audio program. This session will show you how to craft, script, and deliver shows to rival the best podcasts out there. We’ll learn about story structure, content elements, and engagement hooks.
